Costa Brava villas : Can Tapies Feedback on Can Tapies----- Original Message ----- From: birgit.a.waidmann To: villasbarcelona Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2008 4:39 PM Subject: Wow! Can Tapies is incredible. What a beautiful place! We can't tell you how delighted we are. And tonight's meal was fabulous. We had such a variety of wonderful tapas and the paella was delicious, and so bountiful. Rosa couldn't be nicer. She even took some of us with her to Saturday evening Mass at the tiny church up the hill, a once-a-month service in a romanesque church that dates from 1097. Very cool. Tonight's stars and red moon are awesome. Thank you so much! ----- Original Message ----- From: Ewan To: villasbarcelona Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 12:56 PM Subject: RE: Can Tapies, August 18 to September 1, 2006 Hi Charlie, We had two fantastic weeks at Can Tapies. The views, fantastic rooms and balcony in the main apartment were stunning and very relaxing. The pool was fantastic and we spent a fair time in and by it over the holiday. The barbecue downstairs was well used by us and other guests who we shared a meal with (and maybe a few drinks!) and proved a good sociable area. Grapes off the vine growing at the front of the house, walks in the forest, trips to Banyoles lake, barbecuing fish and trips to the beach = a blissful two weeks away from it all!!! No real negatives, apart from Rosa needs to invest in more than 6 sun loungers by the pool! I’m sure she must realise that! They have missed a great opportunity to use the grass area by the pool (which is very rough and deeply rutted) as an excellent play area for kids / football. Anyhow – we tried talking to Rosa about returning next year for maybe three weeks – the main apartment again. She suggested we speak to you about this. I shall grab some photos from my home server tonight and forward them to you soonest. Hope all is well with you and your family. Kind regards. Both were wonderful, but for different reasons. Pelacals, a quiet farming hamlet, with rural bar, shops and friendly neighbour (with two chiwawas) so close to good restaurants and the beach… followed by a beautiful mansion in the hills with the ever helpful Rosa. If it’s of any use for he web site here’s a photo of the completed pool, in which we spent a lot of time! Best wishes, Adam |
