Costa Brava villas : Can Brugues Feedback on Can Brugues----- Original Message ----- < From: "Diego Benites" To: "'villasbarcelona'" Cc: "ruth bennett" Sent: Wednesday, July 02, 2008 8:47 PM Subject: RE: Can Brugues in June 2008 I just want to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay at Can Brugues. Everything was to our satisfaction, including the nice weather that you arranged for us. Thank you for your help and good luck, Diego ----- Original Message ----- From: STEPHEN HODGKISS To: charlie@tourismcatalonia.com Sent: Tuesday, December 18, 2007 12:54 PM Subject: Can Brugues again in 2008? Hello Charlie, Firstly, allow me to apologise for not getting in touch after our stay at Can Brugues this year. I really should have let you know how our week at the villa was upon our return. The villa is superb and we all had a fabulous time. The restaurant at the top of the road was very friendly and Neus was so helpful despite the language barrier (our fault obviously). Anyway, we would like to book the villa again for the Motogp week again next year. The weekend of the event is 6/7/8 June 08 and we would like to have the villa Tue 3/6/08 - Tue 10/6/08. We are flying into Girona this time which will be better. Kind regards Natalie Hodgkiss ----- Original Message ----- From: Mark.Catterick@morganest.com To: charlie@villasbarcelona.com Sent: Monday, December 11, 2006 1:41 PM Subject: Aug 19 to Sept 2, 2006 Charlie, I have no problem with you publishing anything I’ve written. The house was excellent & exceeded our expectations. We had three families sharing & the accommodation enabled us to do things collectively or in our separate families. Neus did everything we asked of her including the shopping for our arrival. From a personal perspective the location was ideal, in a quiet location providing a very relaxed break away from football shirted English people. However from the children’s point of view they would have preferred somewhere with a bit more ‘Life’ although it did mean that had to communicate with each other for 2 weeks & had to provide their own entertainment, no bad thing in my view. We liked the area particularly Old Gerona which was charming & we also ventured to Barcelona a couple of times. Although we did hire a car for part of our stay, we found the trains comfortable & east to use. I have forwarded your e-mail to the other & hope this helps. We really enjoyed our stay, the villa was perfect for 4 families (17 people in total) to share, we all had our own space if wanted, and the large communal areas were ideal for being together. Our teenagers loved it as they were able to "hang out" away from the adults. The villa was well equipped for cooking and the outdoor barbecue was great, but this area could be better lit for cooking in the evenings. The patios and pool area were again spacious enough to be able to find a quiet corner even with 8 teenage boys around, the pool was a good size and very clean. The village was very quiet, (except for Friday and Saturday night with the disco down the road) but very friendly, we used the 2 shops round the corner nearly every day for bread, fresh veg etc, they must have found our broken Spanish and French quite funny, but even the kids were made very welcome and managed to get across what they wanted. Neus was great and would have been very helpful but our lack of Spanish and her lack of English did make communication and finding out basic things quite difficult. All in all it was a great holiday the weather was good which always helps, we found all the Catalonian people we met very friendly and welcoming, even if we didn't speak the language. You definitely need a car in this area but driving was very easy and the roads were never too busy, and we found most drivers no worse than at home. Hope this helps, and feel free to use any of it for use on the web page. No plans yet for summer 07 so you never know I may be in touch looking for another villa. Regards Fiona |
